No Evidence of Third BB Gun Shooting Near Laurier Campus: Police

Posted by jhingarat21 on 14th Sep 2015

Police say they’re not yet able to determine whether a third BB gun shooting occurred near Wilfrid Laurier University’s Waterloo campus on Thursday.

Two people were injured on Monday in separate BB gun shooting incidents.

Both occurred along King Street, near Hickory Street. In one case, a 19-year-old Laurier student was shot in the eye.

Thursday night, police were called after a person walking around Regina and Hickory streets heard what sounded like objects striking the ground.

He also reported seeing a green, laser-like light flickering on the sidewalk in the area.

Police say they did not find anything in the area that seemed to have come from a pellet or BB gun, and were not able to locate the green light.
